Our Era collection consists of 35ml flip top tubes which are oxo biodegradable. During the manufacturing process, we add d2w. D2w accelerates the natural process of oxidation until the product is no longer a plastic but a material which can be bio-assimilated; used as a food source, by bacteria and fungi on land and sea. Its packaging can still be recycled alongside ordinary plastic. If it escapes collection and ends up as litter in the environment, it will degrade and biodegrade in a continuous, irreversible and unstoppable process. D2w was developed by a British company; they continuously develop controlled life plastic technology solutions which help tackle the problem of micro plastics in the environment by turning ordinary plastic, at the end of its service life and in the presence of oxygen, into biodegradable material.
